  • How will I receive training for this volunteer role?
  • Who will be my direct supervisor? Who can I contact if I have questions or concerns and my supervisor is unavailable?

  3. Care Through Tech- Various Volunteer Positions

Care Through Tech is a federally-recognized non-profit hoping to connect people experiencing unstable housing with essential resources, such as healthcare, social supports, and more. We’re looking to fill a variety of positions, listed below. This is a remote volunteer position.

Strategic Planning Committee
Responsibilities include:
Synthesizing and amending internal documents, including constitution and non-profit re-applications
Researching partners and/or sponsors for strategic organization expansion locally and nationally
Aiding in pitch presentations, when applicable
Time Commitment: 1-3 hours a week


Finance Committee
Responsibilities include:
Aiding in balancing of finances, maximizing use of each internal source of funding
Researching cheapest options for purchase (receiving help from Director(s) of IT when needed)
Helping write grant applications and keeping organization on track for all deadlines and requirements per grant
Time Commitment: 1-3 hours a week

Evaluations Committee
Responsibilities include:
Creating, and amending on-going surveys for evaluation of the organization for: partners & clients; internal volunteers
Facilitating surveys, when/where possible
Analyzing resulting data
Cumulating annual summary reports
Time Commitment: 1-3 hours a week

Fundraising & Communications Committee
Responsibilities include:
Brainstorm, plan, and run fundraising events
Fundraising and donation procurement
Researching and sharing funding opportunities with the organization (ex. grants).
Helping with online presence, including social media posting schedule and promotion
Time Commitment: 1-3 hours a week


Director of Strategic Planning
Responsibilities include:
Managing Strategic Planning Committee
Managing non-profit documents and keeping organization on track for due dates, including annual board meetings.
Building and maintaining constitution/internal documents, when needed
Pitching to larger companies to facilitate organization-wide sponsorships, partnerships, and/or donations.
Time Commitment: 2-5 hours a week

Vice President

The role of the Vice President is to help the President run the organization and board. The Vice President will be focusing more on aiding short-term internal tasks, while the President focuses on external and/or long-term goals. The Vice President will run organization-wide on-boarding and aid the President in running executive meetings.
Time Commitment: 2-5 hours a week

Director of Fundraising
Responsibilities include:
Co-manage Fundraising & Communications Committee
Research and reach out to sources of funding donations in the community with committee members
Conduct fundraising events, including creating a fundraising schedule
Do fundraising/donation drives
Speaking with sponsors and/or external organizations, when applicable, to sponsor events
Time Commitment: 2-5 hours a week

Director of Communications
Responsibilities include:
Co-manage Fundraising & Communications Committee
Creating infographics and captions
Updating Social Media (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn)
Creating realistic but fairly consistent posting schedule
Coordinating with Director(s) of IT for consistent communications across all platforms
Time Commitment: 2-5 hours a week
