Home Hospice Hamilton-Halton is looking for volunteers for various positions such as event coordinator, gardening,-work, social media, and many more.
Home Hospice Hamilton-Halton is a new Chapter of HHA. We are a Federally Registered Not-for-Profit. Our Board of Directors has chosen four HHA programs to offer in this Chapter: Bello Project~ you would be helping to take care of the pets of people diagnosed with a life-limiting illness so they can keep their pet throughout their dying journey; HOPP- Helping Our Precious Pediatrics~ you would be helping to organize (outreach to families, coordination of entertainers, food, art therapy work) and/or run a day for children with life-limiting illnesses and their families to attend a day of entertainment, lunch, and the creation of a legacy piece; Pre and Perinatal Hospice~ you would be helping to spread the word about this program by contacting doctors' offices and hospitals, be part of the care-giving team; Hospice at Home~ helping people diagnosed with life-limiting illnesses to stay living in their home by doing house upkeep, spending time with them, grocery shopping, sitting bedside,... In addition to these four programs, we set up a booth at events so you could be handing out information, you might help give presentations to Boomers to recruit them as volunteers, you could help make our social media presence better. Whatever you're passionate about or skills you have to offer, we need you! We offer hospice care to anyone of any age, at any time, under any roof.
